A Structural Approach to Welfare Take-Up

When quasi-experimental variation runs out — or when you need counterfactuals the data cannot show — structural estimation steps in. Chan (2017) is our worked example: identifying a dynamic model of welfare take-up, with exclusion restrictions doing the heavy lifting where functional form alone should not.
