Title: Graphical Interpretation of Price Indices and the Impact of Rebasings on Measured Inflation
Abstract: We show a graphical depiction of the Laspeyres, Paasche, Fisher and the two "True Cost of Living" indices and explain within the Figures why rebasing the Laspeyres index does not necessarily lead to less measured inflation.
